Developer to construct 720 residential apartments in Ongata Rongai

720 residential apartments are set to be constructed in Ogata Rongai by the affiliate of the Royal Group of Companies, Realtor King’s Developers Ltd.

Vinayak Karambalkar, the vice president of sales and marketing said that the development will consist of 10 blocks comprising of 2 bedroom apartments

According to Mr. Karambalkar, the project’s planned completion date is December next year.

The unit prices shall start at Sh3.2 million.

The suburb serves institutions such as Multimedia University as well as shopping centers located close by such as Maasai Center and comes at a time when the demand for living space outside the city is increasing within the Nairobi Metropolitan Area.

Data from the National Construction Authority (NCA) indicates that 572 of the 5,156 project submissions made in the 2018/19 fiscal year were located in this county.

The highest was from Nairobi at 604 followed by counties such as Kajiado (491), Nakuru (386), and Machakos (323).

The data indicates that within Kajiado county’s five constituencies, Kajiado North, which is inclusive of Ongata Rongai, Ngong, and Kiserian, had 260 applications whereas Kajiado East had 217 in Kitengela, Kajiado Central (52), Kajiado South (29) and 14 in Kajiado West.
